For many students, scientific vocabulary can be a barrier to conceptual understanding. The purpose of this action research project is to determine the effectiveness of frequent vocabulary review in supporting students’ vocabulary development during a Genetics unit in a seventh-grade life science class. This study aims to determine how the implementation of frequent review increases students' understanding of content-specific vocabulary.
