In this presentation the effects of a plant-derived extract, Valerenic Acid, on the anxiety-like behaviors in mice was investigated using three tests. The tests used were the elevated plus maze (EPM), open field test (OFT), and tail suspension test (TST). This research project was completed under the guidance of Dr. John Hoover.
